Position: Sourcing Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
Search suppliers for export business. Dominate the negotiation with suppliers to reach the best technical and commercial terms for contracting.
Take the ownership of developing suppliers, and work closely with suppliers on effective process control, and push for the continuous improvement at suppliers.
Communicate with overseas customers through emails and telephone conference, to report and discuss issues related to products and projects.
Catch the RFQ data from customers and make sure supplier correctly understand the requirements too. Be aware of the cost structure of purchased-in products.
Steer and lead suppliers to come up with design proposals that would closest match customers’ needs.
Be responsible for the progress of assigned projects, and keep projects going on track within scheduled time line, and minimize the costs in the daily operations.
Report to sourcing manager, through open dialogues regarding supplier evaluation & selection, project progress, financial cost and performance appraisal etc.
Work closely with QC department regarding supplier quality control and improvement, and work as a team to keep quality defects & claims to the minimum.
Support supply chain department in resolving pop-up problems at deliveries, and take proactive actions to secure on-time delivery at suppliers.
Requirements
Education:
University graduated with mechanical ,electronical or relevant field
Working Experience:
Minimum 8 years’ experience in Engineering, manufacturing or sourcing related industry. Hands on experiences in export sourcing is preferred.
Experiences of working in foreign-invested companies is a must.
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong technical background and good know-how in machanical, electronical or related field
Understanding of the requirements of the ISO9000/14000 standard
Fluent in written and oral English.
Average PC skills.
Other Requirements:
Honest, reliable and good business ethics
Team player, and smooth in communications
Self-motivated and dedicated to work
Quick learner
Able to travels and work under pressure.
