Your New Role:
? Develop and execute business development strategies for the Shanghai Studio and US based NBBJ Studios practicing in China / SE Asia
? Win the right work – aligned with NBBJ’s design vision, innovative and profitable – based on their individual annual sales target – with specific emphasis on growing NBBJ’s Architectural / Design Practice in China / SE Asia.
? Develop and maintain relationships with potential and current SE Asian clients through a deep understanding of their enterprise
? Provide strategy and vision for proposals and interviews with prospective clients
? Generate a strong China / SE Asia pipeline – leads and prospects
? Increase practice win rate by constantly improving effectiveness of proposals and interviews
? Guide strategic China / SE Asia partnerships with Developers, Corporate Clients, LDI’s, Contractors, Vendors, Suppliers, etc. that will enable NBBJ to thrive
? Advance NBBJ’s reputation as a thought leader through conference presentations, journal articles, and social media communications
What you will Need to Succeed:
? 15+ years of China / SE Asian architecture experience in the design profession with a focus in Corporate and Commercial practice
? Strong Mandarin and English language skills
? Knowledge of the Design and Construction profession mandatory. Architectural licensure or certification preferred but not mandatory
? Deep understanding of the corporate real estate market and development industry, comfortable with multidisciplinary and multi-cultured design teams
? Proven project management ability to motivate & develop teams--internally and externally--to work on and execute architectural / design related projects
? Reputation as an expert in the architectural / design industry with existing China / SE Asian client relationships
? Proven success and track record with relationship building that leads winning new projects with a thorough understanding of the real estate market, and what it takes to succeed
? Experience developing and executing business development strategies and market content
? Travel required
