United Technologies Research Center (China) Ltd. invites qualified individuals to apply for the following position in the Shanghai office. This position will compensate the chosen candidate at competitive local Shanghai market wage rate, and benefits will be administered based on local Shanghai benefit practices.

Senior Embedded System Engineer:

Job Requirements:
？ Responsible for the conceptual design and implementation of real-time embedded systems. Perform architecture research, system analysis, design, programming and testing.
？ Capable of developing real time systems (hardware) and understanding popular communications technologies, distributed controls, and sensor networks.
？ Experienced in working with model-based embedded software design methodologies and tools. Can analyze and develop contemporary hardware and software modeling methods.
？ Develop firmware for customized UTC applications.
？ Communicate with global teams to develop requirements and product specifications.
？ Working closely with a global cross-disciplinary team of technologists to the conception and prototyping of new technology/products related to existing and emerging UTC applications.
？ Create new technical and project opportunities through technology roadmap, resource leveraging, strategic partnering, and acquisition of external contracts.
？ Lead and participate in multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high quality deliverables and seamless integration with the UTRC team in the U.S.A. and Europe, and University partners in China.
？ Provide timely, accurate and detailed reports and presentations.

Qualifications:
？ M.S./PhD. in related discipline in electrical (electronics) engineering, computer science, automation and control and so on.
？ Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.
？ R&D experience with embedded systems with architectural and hardware design and implementation focus.
？ Solid understanding of embedded processors, such as ARM, MIPS, and so on. At least three years’ experience on embedded processors development.
？ Solid understanding of FPGA technique and familiar with Altera or Xilinx software environment. At least three years’ experience on FPGA design.
？ Extensive knowledge of microcontroller peripherals, RTC, Timers, ADC, DAC, PWM, Interrupts, DMA, Capture/Compare, UART.
？ Experiences in Low-Energy Bluetooth and other NFC protocols.
？ Ability to plan, design, implement, debug and optimize complex embedded control software implemented on embedded processors.
？ Extensive knowledge of programming in C, how C compilers work, how to configure C compilers, working with and without a RTOS.
？ Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is a plus.

Preferred Candidates will possess the following:
？ Experience or knowledge of signal processing, communication protocols, control system theory, and wireless sensor networks.
？ Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
？ Solid technical writing, presentation, project management and communication skills.
？ Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial attitude towards on.
