Position Summary:
The position will be responsible for supporting the Manager, Area Trade Compliance - International to ensure adherence of local regulations in Bao’an, Shenzhen where Energizer manufacturing plants and Energizer’s third party service providers perform Import and Export operations. This includes but is not limited to: entry audit, certificates of origin, record keeping, product marking, dangerous goods compliance and material / equipment controls required by preferential manufacturing programs and managing a team of Trade Compliance Analysts. The colleague will work closely with the Manager, Area Trade Compliance - International, Trade Compliance Analysts, Customs brokers and China governmental agencies to provide 100% accurate declarations to China Customs.

Accountabilities:
- To manage and ensure the manufacturing preferential programs in China (~$12+ million in Imports) are kept under control per Customs regulations for the 2 manufacturing plants
- To ensure internal and external Customs processes and procedures in adherence to China Customs regulations are in place, implemented and abided to in the 2 manufacturing plants and external service providers
- To lead and conduct cross functions meeting in ensuring adherence of Customs regulations within the teams
- To manage, review and provide solutions to any variances of the Customs reconciliation reports for the 2 manufacturing plants
- To conduct regular China Customs related training for internal colleagues and ensure up to date China Customs related regulations are communicated within the 2 manufacturing plants
- To manage and review the 2 manufacturing plant’s Customs brokers KPI to ensure excellent performance and adherence to China Customs regulations and agreed KPI
- To maintain regular communication with China Customs and CIQ department to keep up to date of China Customs related regulations and laws
- To be the main point of contact to China Customs official in resolution of any Trade Compliance issues with the supports of local management team, Regional and Global Trade Compliance leadership as well as the Legal department, depending on the case
- To manage and coach a team of Trade Compliance Analysts to ensure daily Customs activities are conducted properly and in accordance to the requirements of China Customs regulations and Company policies
- To build and cultivate a positive, motivated and efficient working environment within the team
- To provide support related to Trade Compliance to external service providers and for any projects within China

Required Skills and Experience:
- University graduate in International trade or related disciplines
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Trade Compliance or relevant function, in which 2-3 year in managerial position is preferred
- Previous industry experience in FMCG or manufacturing is highly advantageous
- Must have strong knowledge on processing trade model
- Excellent command in verbal & written English (CET 06 Minimum)
- Highly analytical mind with problem solving skills
- Thorough understanding of the China custom regulation
