REQUIREMENTS:
1. At least 3 years of working experience in the furniture industry - includes purchasing, manufacturing, and quality control
2. English fluency

*Will not consider candidates without experience in furniture (casegoods, beds, tables, chairs, sofas)*
**Preference is given to candidates who have a technical experience of various fabrics, woodworking, carpentry, foam, etc**

Cortland Partners is a real estate developer based in the United States. Our company owns and operates more than 40,000 apartments through the United States, and is quickly expanding into new markets. Our Shanghai office is responsible for procuring high quality furnishings and building materials for our US operations.

The ideal candidate for the Furniture Agent position has at least 3 years of experience in the furniture industry and a solid understanding of various components and styles. The agent will work directly with Cortland Partners' VP of Design in picking new styles and products for the company's projects.

Knowledge of Materials:

1. Wood (Various Species)
2. Metals (Various Types)
 
Knowledge\Experience with:
 
1. Furniture Fabrication Methods and Assembly
2. Furniture Manufacturing and Assembly
3. Finishing: Paint, Stain, Lacquer, Veneers, Protective, Coating.
4. Upholstered Furniture\Clad Furniture
 
Capability\Proficiency:
 
1. Selecting and Determining Materials
2. Recommending Manufacturing Approach
3. Assessing Construction - Quality and Durability (How can this be demonstrated)
