Responsibilities
Conduct benchmark analysis.
Conduct layout studies about sensors, radar and cameras.
Conduct layout studies about bumpers, crash beams, claddings, grilles, wiper systems, mirrors, roof racks, spoilers and/or side sills.
Provide 2D and 3D to support layout studies.
Create design guidelines and procedures to avoid known problems.
Managing and resolving conflicts across functions (styling, engineering and customer requirements).
Liaise with styling and customer engineering team on concerns raised for layout during digital and physical builds (clay models).
Ensure compliance with all standards including customer, safety and legislative (for all markets).
Provide clear and concise reports on the above.
Requirements
Over 7 years of related working experience.
Knowledge of vehicle and major systems, attributes, manufacturing (including tooling, welding and surface finishing technologies like graining, painting, chroming, etc. ), RPS and assembly requirements.
Good knowledge of homologation and safety regulations (Pedestrian Protection, low speed crash, etc.).
Good understanding of tolerances and static and dynamic clearance criteria.
Ability to make feasibility and packaging analysis based on CAS.
Experience with front and rear lamps will be a plus.
Good knowledge of Catia V5 (2D and 3D) and MS Office.
Good ability to communicate in Chinese
Good English knowledge.
Communication with Client, suppliers, styling and engineering
