DFSS Consultant/ Trainer

Grade: Associate Consultant/ Consultant

Location: Shanghai and Beijing

Key responsibilities:

-Delivering DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) Green Belt, Black Belt or champion training for industrial clients

-Coaching and mentoring to clients' DFSS Green Belt and Black Belt candidates

-Partnering with client sponsors to support, lead, and drive engineering excellence projects in New Product Development Process and other related Design Innovation initiatives

-Consulting on the leadership and management of change initiatives, communications, training and other support programs that will effectively prepare client staff to perform optimally

-Development, execution and maintenance of the project work plan and budget

-Conducting resource planning/skills assessment and monitor utilization levels to manage project staffing

-Coordinating with existing members in the professional team as well as foreign counterpart to deliver project results based on service level signed

Basic Qualifications:

-Master degree in a Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability or Industrial engineering

-Certified DFSS MBB or DFSS SSBB from a reputable organization

-10+ years of direct experience working in an industrial high volume manufacturing environment, preferably Vehicle and Automotive Parts related

-Strong background in risk management within complex commercial products and systems environment

-Direct experience implementing DFSS, APQP, Reliability planning & execution, DFMEA, Testing & Validation, etc

-Team player with leadership capability and soft skills to mentor & influence (Change Agent) in a matrix environment is required.

-Ability to see the big picture (Strategic) and drill down to the specific improvement areas (Tactical & Flawless Execution)

-Coaching knowledge of DFSS, Set Based Designs, Reliability Tools & Techniques, etc

-Prior external consulting experience and or leading Design for Six Sigma projects preferred

-Knowledge of Engineering Competency be a plus

-Fluent Chinese/ English skills is a MUST, Japanese/German is a plus
