SCOPE
Oversees the activities of Customer Account department activities in China or other specified geographic region. Responsible for the implementation and controlling of objectives for assigned area and for developing and implementing related programs. Supports development and implementation of business strategies that drive revenue in a manner which ensures total quality and service excellence.

REPORTING TO
Reports to and responsible to Accounting Manager - China.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manages Customer Account department activities with integrity and ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures and practices.
- Supports management with development and implementation of results-oriented goals and strategies.
- Contributes to the development of service excellence, customer retention, and customer account strategies.
- Develops and directs a productive team of Customer Accounts personnel by hiring, training and leading the best qualified people, utilizing effective communication, motivational and coaching techniques, leading by example, providing ongoing performance management and training and development. Monitors performance of the teams and re-allocates resources to improve overall results.
- Ensures Customer Accounts personnel are cross-trained to support successful daily operations.
- Increases sales within area by supporting Service & Sales teams, by understanding customer “mission critical” objectives and creatively removing any obstacles. Communicates efficiently and effectively with customers and other Mouser departments to resolve account issues, pending orders, and invoice discrepancies.
- Represents the company in a professional manner. Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments. Supports and participates in the company’s total quality process. Extremely trustworthy and maintains confidentiality.
- Available and willing to travel if needed, including within China and overseas. Valid passport and other required documents for travel, or eligible to obtain required documents for travel.
- Recommends, document and develop Customer Accounts policies & procedures for the long term interests & benefits of Company.
- Processes service orders, order releases, new account setups, credit investigations, collection contacts, and recommends accounts for Final Demand Letter and Referrals. Prepares recommendations for large credit limits. Performs assigned research activities to reconcile wire payments and/or resolve payment discrepancies. Uses customer web portals to invoice customer and research payment discrepancies. Spends majority of time on phone collecting past due invoices.
- Lead & manage China VAT invoicing, VAT validation and other relevant processes. Facilitate communications with different teams and always drive for process improvements.
- Plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your works & your team’s work.
- Positive attitude to always achieve and exceed assigned goals and objectives
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Degree holder in Accountancy or related business field and minimum three years at supervisor or above level.
- Experience in China customer accounts is required.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Strong service, methodical and people management skills.
- Good knowledge of credit processes and techniques.
- Outstanding negotiation and presentation skills.
- Mentoring skills required for providing training to personnel.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communicating and building relationships, with extensive internal and external customers.
- Analytical skills for assessing strengths and weaknesses of customer account programs and related results.
- Strong in teamwork, business acumen and operational excellence.
- Strong verbal and written communication, Mandarin and English.
- Good understanding and ability to work with multiple currencies.
- Proficient PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, Outlook, Excel.
- Strong MS Words and PowerPoint skills preferred.
