Summary
Senior IT Support Technician is a full time position and is based at the Westinghouse Shanghai office. This position provides the necessary technical support and people skills to ensure that the Information Technology (IT) issues encountered by Westinghouse China AP1000 Project, China Sub Region (CR&S) business operations, Westinghouse China (Shanghai), Asia Regional staff located in China and Joint Ventures (JVs) staff are resolved in a timely manner. This position is critical to provide IT support required for successful growth of Westinghouse in China. The Senior IT Support Technician will report to the IT Manager in China and provide the technical oversight of all IT issues, both software and hardware.
Duties and Responsibilities

? NPMP China-SNERDI
? NPMP China-JPMO
? Westinghouse Shanghai – WFOE
? Beijing - NPMP China, WFOE
? Sanmen - NPMP China
? Haiyang - NPMP China
? Westinghouse Joint Ventures in China
? Business Support
? Provide daily operations and systems support to the business.
? Respond to and update incidents / requests in a timely manner.
? Provide advice and guidance on issues appropriate to his / her working area, ensuring that the relevant stakeholders receive timely warnings / advice of implications Utilize ISMS when supporting incidents/ requests.
? Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via telephone or certain application to all China sites. Some domestic travel may also be required.
? Provide On-call / Out of hours support
? Purchase and deploy approved hardware.
? Set up / configure / deploy new or replacement hardware devices in support of business requirements.(servers, networks devices, printers, PCs, laptops, mobile and fixed telephony)
? Verify functionality of hardware and software components on regular basis.
? Support / Update IT Asset Management Inventory.
? Advise on potential improvement / cost saving areas.
? Deploy IT systems, provide consulting and training on IT system application to users.
? Dispose of redundant hardware / software in compliance with company policy and procedures.
? Select, or participate in the selection of, vendors who provide a variety of IT services and products to ensure the qualified service to meet Westinghouse business needs.
? Technology Standards Development & Policy Compliance
? Maintain in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc., across multiple infrastructure specialties.
? Provide input and feedback to the IT Manager on technology initiatives and the deployment of initiatives.
? Ensure all information and data are properly protected and meet Westinghouse Security requirements.
? Manage day to day activities in line with business delivery targets.
? Perform day-to-day activities in compliance with Westinghouse safety and security policies.
? Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policies & procedures.
? People / Relationship Management
? Working closely with key customers from each business Unit and provide appropriate technical solution to meet the business needs in China.
? Collaborate with key customers and Corporate IT to ensure the smooth execution of IT projects in support of business needs in China.
? Facilitate the growth of IT support team with rich expertise to support business
? Partner with key functional groups in China and with IT colleagues in the Asia region and US Corporate office
? Team player (problem solving and planning with corporate IT and other teams)
Requirements
? Education and Skills:
? Bachelor degree and above in Computer Science or relevant major
? Over 8 years of relevant experience;
? Striving for Achievement/Drive for result, Customer Focus, Proactive and takes initiative
? Familiar with ITIL methodology
? Microsoft & Cisco Certification is preferred
? Communication and Interpersonal Understanding
? Business Acumen
? Creativity/Continuous Improvement
? People Development and Team Leadership
? Languages:
? Demonstrated fluency in English and Mandarin (verbal and written)
? Cross-functional experience overseeing various aspects on the IT infrastructure management
