Our IP Legal Assistant are outgoing, articulate team-players, willing to work hard when called upon and genuinely interested in progressing their careers. We aim to recruit people who will stay with the firm and therefore seek candidates who have a long-term interest in Bird & Bird and the sectors and areas of legal practice we focus on.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide legal and administrative support to the partners and associates of the Intellectual Property team in Shanghai
- May undertake some elements of fee earning work under supervision
- Legal research
- Drafting and translating legal documents
- Aid in preparing business development & marketing materials
- Regulatory filing control and contract management
- Deal with routine client enquiries whenever necessary
- Assist in other assignments as required from time to time

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- A law graduate with a minimum of a 3.3 GPA from a reputable university (candidates with an additional degree in science will be an added advantage)
- A good communicator in both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Having the commitment to client service and working closely within a dynamic team
- Well organised and attention to detail
- Able to prioritize tasks and cope with pressure
- A good team player possessing strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and efficiently, helpful and supportive
