Business Analyst
IKEA Indirect Material and Services (IMS), Shanghai, China
About the job
The Business Analyst team at IKEA IMS plays a key role in providing a fact-based approach and fact-based recommendations to IKEA IMS’ purchasing decisions, projects and processes.
As main assignment, you will be working together with our purchasers in purchase projects for indirect material (product and services). Your task is to support the projects with analysis, structure and a fact-based approach, always with the best for IKEA in mind. You will share knowledge with other Business Analysts and purchasers to ensure that best practice is captured and applied within IKEA IMS. You will follow a structured Purchase Process, use purchasing tools like e-sourcing and perform coaching and training in the area of analysis.


Does this sound interesting?
We’re looking for a candidate with:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in international environment with a strong emphasis on business analysis.
- A university degree within business administration
- You are skilled in MS office, specifically Excel and Power-Point
- Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English.

As a person you have high interest for purchase. Paired with flexibility, this is the key to succeed in this position. You are highly analytical, have a strong drive and are open to new ideas and want to share knowledge with others. You have the ability to shift perspective from detailed to high level and you dare to challenge others. You have strong communication skills and demonstrate integrity, honesty and reliability. Experience in project leading, purchasing or consulting is an advantage. Naturally, you are interested in home furnishings, and the IKEA values permeate your everyday life.
