JOB REQUIREMENTS
Main Duties Job Duties:Candidate will work as a special driver engineer in San Diego with the driver, firmware and software development team to produce high quality wireless software for Novatel product. Responsibilities involve driver coding changes, testing, debugging, and root cause analysis to forward issues to respective firmware and software developers. Special skills required to understand and debug device firmware interface with drivers, and Windows driver architecture and Windows USB stack.

Required Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of device driver software development, debug skills and analysis.
- Experience using WinDBG, Xperf, ETW to do root cause analysis of software and drivers.
- Experience using USB analyzer to analyze USB traces, using performance tools and memory leak tools.
- Thorough understanding Windows OS kernel and user mode components and drivers.
- Understanding Windows WHQL and WLK requirement and process.
- Knowledge of Windows Driver Design and Development (WDM/WDF)
? kernel level development and operating system kernel components
? architecture, design, coding, implementation and verification of code in kernel level for multiple projects
? USB WDM function drivers and filters drivers
? KMDF function drivers and filters drivers
? UMDF function drivers and filters drivers
? USB EHCI and OHCI Host controller driver development
? USB High Speed and Full Speed
? USBCV, USB PLX kit

Required Experience:
- 3+ years in Windows software development. Ideally with USB and network driver development
- Strong learning ability for new technologies
- Good team player and good communications
- Experience with debugging and trouble shooting in Windows Kernel and User Mode.
- Handle multiple assignments while balancing personal assignments with team priorities.

Education:
BS/BA required. MS desired.
