SUMMARY:

Responsible for the Kasco sales activities in the country of China. Develops and implements the Kasco China Sales & Marketing plan, to achieve the business goals of expanding the Kasco customer base and market share in China. Works with the Kasco business team to achieve revenue goals, margin & profitability goals, and customer satisfaction goals for Kasco's China business.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Identifies potential distributor, packing house, and retail grocery customers across all of China, and introduces to them the Kasco Company, and the Kasco meat blades, wood blades, and butcher supply product portfolio. Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, market research, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, e-mailing, and networking. After training, becomes proficient in the Kasco "Solution Selling" process. Routinely uses the "Solution Selling" process to obtain new customers in China for Kasco and increase revenue.


Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge for Kasco's blades, grinder plates & knives, and butcher supplies product portfolio. Manages the existing customer base and newly acquired customer base in China, from lead generation through to the commercial close. Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations to achieve sales orders. Ensures that annual revenue and margin goals are met or exceeded.


Demonstrates the ability to conduct a business conversation with business owners and decision makers in the local Chinese language and dialect. Demonstrates the ability to influence customers in China to buy from Kasco. Coordinates with the Kasco business and the China customers to oversee and manage customer orders, shipments, and payments. Manages the investigation and resolution of quality issues. Works to maximize customer satisfaction.


Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit, and report on detailed business information including orders, pricing, monthly sales, competitor information, quality issues, product inventory levels, new trends or products in the market, and changes in the customer's business.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (continued)


Coordinates with Kasco Sales Management to establish and enforce a Kasco China pricing strategy. Reviews detailed price and margin analysis for the Kasco China business, and monitors competitive market price trends.


Coordinates the launch of new products for Kasco in China to ensure that product codes, product pricing, and customer codes are properly set up in the Kasco sales computer system.



RELATIONSHIPS, ROLES, AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Will maintain contact with all customers and clients in the China market to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Will establish and maintain an effective working team relationship with the Kasco North America parent organization. Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· 4-6 years sales and marketing experience in the China market.


· Experience in the China meat/fish/deli distribution industry, or experience in the China food equipment and supplies distribution industry.



· Complete fluency in Chinese and English language to include verbal, written, and comprehension skills. Chinese language fluency should include different dialects in the Chinese language across the country.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.


· Knowledge base of the meat distribution industry in China is preferred.













OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:


· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing bids and "Solution Selling" communications to customers.


· Strong math and analytical skills to be able to calculate margins and prepare bid proposals.



· Ability to use and interface the Kasco IS systems, including writing and utilizing queries from the Visual Management system (with training from Kasco). Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, and near meat room and deli food processing equipment.


· The employee will handle sharp blade products.


· The noise level in the customer's factory work environment may require hearing protection during customer visits.



LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:


· The employee will be based in China and will work out of a home office.


· The employee will be expected to travel across China by plane, train, and automobile. Business travel is estimated at 60-70% of the time.


· The employee will make 1-2 business trips per year to Kasco North America.
