Position Overview:

Candidates are to perform Estimator/Quantity Surveying (MEP) function for construction projects and execute in compliance with alliance standards, procedures and will work in concert with project and discipline teams. Estimator (MEP) will be responsible for prequalification of suppliers, support and participate in tendering process, commercial evaluation, communication with bidders, recommendation, purchase award, administration of Contracts and change management. Candidate will also be responsible to coordinate, engage and support Project Manager in other project related matters.

Responsibilities:
- Provide quantity take-off and estimating services (particularly MEP related SOW) to Mortenson China and U.S. estimating groups.
- Prepare project cost estimate based on conceptual design, schematic design.
- Prepare detailed cost estimate and BOQ based on detail design documents.
- Provide scheduling service to support both China and US group’s projects.
- Capable of preparing and tender document BOQ (in both English and Chinese language); independently with minimum assistant;
- Review and analyze bidder’s RFP submission and provide tender evaluation report.
- Provide project cost control related support to Senior Cost Estimator and Project Manager during project execution.
- Attend and chair project meetings independently; constant communicating with clients/project team/consultants/peers through emails, conference call etc.
- Use OST, ICE and other estimating or scheduling software.
- Potentially receive on-the-job training in US office; base on needs.

Qualifications:
- Minimum with Bachelor Degree in M&E Engineering/Quantity Surveying;
- A minimum of 3-years experiences in estimating/tendering environment; with the exposure to industrial and healthcare building project type is plus.
- A minimum 2-years work experiences in Mechanical & Electrical environment. On-site experience in Hook-up projects is a plus.
- Capable of preparing tender documents in both English and Chinese .
- Good local China construction knowledge, practices, regulative requirements and procedures.
- Familiar with China cost information; i.e. prices for material, equipment and labor.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication.
- With positive working ethics, proactive, diligence and effective communication skills.
- Work in a team environment and willing to learn new knowledge.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in US; and able to travel and work in other provinces of China.

Reporting and Location:
- This position reports directly to Commercial Manager.
- Opportunity exists in Shanghai & Beijing, PRC. ( 1 position each)

- 土木工程、建筑相关专业本科以上学历
- 工作态度认真，踏实，沟通能力强
