Job Purpose:

The Architectural Designer Role will be involved in working on a number of innovating exciting architecture and renovation projects, mainly focused on space and architecture design.

A nimble-brain person and creative role is required for this position.

From small to big scale projects, he/she will be able to create innovative spaces and building solutions, from concept to construction details and final completion. He/she will be able to handle projects independently as a project leader, leading a team of junior architects, interior and 3D designers in order to deliver the best possible creative and technical solution within timeline and budget. This role will require creative design/project leaders with relevant experience and skills.

Responsibilities:



Be a creative and innovative team member able to give new technical tips and impressive ideas for every new coming project.
Able to develop projects from concept stage to final completion, keeping all the phases of the project on schedule.
Lead a team of technicians, including interior designers, junior architects and 3d designers.
Handle multiple projects/tasks at one time and with some occasional tight schedule conditions.
Ongoing support to the team staff by training and leading junior designers.
Render conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
Prepare, correct and update documents during schematic design and design development phases as well as client presentations.
Select and define all interior architectural materials and finishes, furniture, lighting and artwork in order to make the set up and the manufacturing possible.
Solicit bids and assists Project Manager and client in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and furnishings required
Cooperate with other departments to complete projects and maintain effective communication
Travel regularly to building sites and attend client meetings

Required Experience and Skills:

-At least 5 years' experience with large-scale projects including general architecture design and retail projects, preferable in China;
-Architecture Master Degree qualification;
-A creative and innovative data-driven mindset that can drive beautiful and functional ideas at the same time;
-Possess creative talent in conceptual design and rendering skills;
-Advanced space planning skills;
-Extraordinary design taste and sense of aesthetic;
-Excellent knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness;
-Have strong visual awareness and an eye for detail and proportion;
-Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent;
-Advanced knowledge of building regulations and safety codes;
-Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models;
-Good proficiency of architectural and construction software (AutoCAD,Skepchup), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, Adobe Acrobat) and all Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) / 3D software (3DSmax, Rhino) proficiency is a plus, if not, good knowledge of 3DSmax is required;

-Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
-Have confidence and a mature personality, able to work in a team as well as carrying tasks alone when assigned;
-Shows consistent professionalism and good judgment;
-Ability to learn and adapt new design skills, be pro-active and always looking for self-improvement;
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
