Job Purpose:
This position is to lead the costing & fixed asset (“P&E”) related accounting & controllership for Nansha plant to ensure its accuracy, completeness, asset safety and correct valuation.

It also plays key role to support plant manager to understand financial impact from performance, driver process efficiency, productivities improvement and cost saving initiatives.

Other than routings, this role leads site expansion project from finance perspective, include budget control, contract review and subsidy application if applicable.

Responsibilities:
Inventory & Costing
1.Ensure controllership and safety of inventory/costing. Ensure system data input integrity. Establish proper approval & authorization, process, documentation, review & audit process. Monitor inventory movement to identify mistake and fraud.
2.Ensure inventory transactions are correctly accounted for financial result. Ensure material costs are booked accurately and timely to BU/cost center geography to provide reliable operation data and right cost ownership. Identify & solve inventory system issues and review COGS & inventory account reconciliation on monthly basis, root cause of the difference and drive corrective actions.
3.Review obsolesce, ICP calculation to ensure it aligns with policy and operation status. Communicate with BU finance/operation leaders on the financial impact and drive inventory efficiency.
4.Lead monthly cycle count and annual physical count as the key process to ensure inventory existence and completeness.
5.Prepare, co-ordinate & communicate inventory/costing related audit.
6.Lead standard cost setup, overhead calculation and BU reclass to support correct financial results as well as sound business decisions.
7.Lead variance analysis and identify cause with operation team to help drive operation efficiency.
8.Support new business process & new transaction in inventory from both system and operation perspective.
9.
Act as plant manager’s go-to-person for queries of production related performance and operation process. Align with operation team on business/operation initiative, performance, trend and changes
10.Identify inventory/costing operation improvement opportunity and lead project with operation teams to execute changes
P&E
1.Review P&E contracts from following aspects to protect company interests and avoid operation risks.
a.Accordance with capitalization criteria
b.Compliance with external regulations (tax, custom, foreign exchange),
c.Compliance with internal policy/guidelines (eg. Sourcing, legal etc)
d.Proper budget authorization in the place.
2.Accurately reflect P&E activity on financial statement in accordance with IFRS and statutory book requirements. Identify the policy difference and review reconciliation of P&E accounting between IFRS and statutory, and; from statutory to tax book. Review P&E month-end closing and reconciliations
3.Review fixed asset place-in-service and category to ensure classification of assets and correct depreciation schedule.
4.Ensure existence and safeguard of company assets. Support and monitor operation team on tagging process and physical count of P&E.
5.Ensure correct valuation of assets for financial reporting. Lead idle assets review and propose disposal actions. Drive operation to effectively use company resource.
6.Support plant expansion projects including budget control, compliance review of contract, spending tracking and subsidy application if applicable.
7.Co-ordinate P&E related audits.
Monitor Custom related process
1.Support SCM in monitoring of SCM custom import / export activity to avoid compliance risk.
2.Review the opening, closure and reconciliation result of custom handbook. Identify potential issues and improvement needed.
3.Evaluate impact of custom price assessment, communicate with corporate tax team for decision on un-usual items upon which agreement cannot be reached with Custom officials.

System project
1.Take lead on manufactory finance related digitalization and simplification.
2.Lead implementation initiatives on manufactory finance relating system enhancement and process improvement for Shanghai manufactory, taking operation and regulatory needs into account. Share relevant best practice to other plans in GC and even APAC, if applicable to drive standardization and productivity improvement opportunity.

Team Development.
1.Assign tasks & resources based on operation changes and organization change.
2.Review team member performance and make improvement actions.
3.Lead team and provide coaching to improve their technical knowledge on system, process, accounting policy, and; soft skills.
