Job Position : EHS Manager

Report to : Plant Mgr.

Job Responsibility :

Provide EHS leadership, support and guidance in preparing Project's Day 1 readiness which will be led by Operations Manager. Scopes of EHS readiness include but not limited to :

a) support construction safety during construction phase & interface with Construction team on matters related to EHS/Security/Medical .

b) coordinate all government pre-startup & pre-commissioning inspections and seek approval for all required (EHS, PSM, Security and related area) regulatory permits or applications from construction to operation phase.

c) Develop site EHS Procedures & Employee Health/safety/Medical programs

d) Develop emergency response procedures and manage emergency team /equipment readiness including practical drills/table top exercises.

Provide leadership in overall management and support of all safety, health, environment & security aspects of the manufacturing site

a) Develop and maintain policies and procedures necessary to comply with corporate guidelines as well as governmental safety, health, environmental and security legislations and regulations.

b) Liaise between the company and government agencies / authorities and communities on EHS & security related matters, in accordance with INVISTA Government Interaction compliance standard.

c) Obtain/renew/coordinate all required EHS permits and ensure all reports are submitted accurately and promptly.

d) Facilitate and lead incident investigation, develop root cause and corrective/preventative action plans to eliminate root causes, and track completion of these plans.

e) Set up of EHS committees or employees engagement activities as required by the regulations or Corporate Compliance standards .

f) Develop leading & lagging indicators to monitor & continuously improve the site's EHS performance.

g) Develop and sustain appropriate EHS & security programs and Training/education for the organisation.

h) Attract, retain & develop diverse groups of talents with our values / beliefs and MBM principles and continue to upgrade the talent pool, thereby building an organisational culture consistent with MBM principles.

Qualification

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to interact with all levels and lead multi-disciplinary teams with strong leadership skills, as well as hand-on and team player.

· An engineering/science degree holder with at least 12 years EHS experience in an oil or chemical manufacturing environment ,of which at least 5 years supervisory experience.

· Hands-on experience in boundary noise abatement, wastewater treatment and hazardous waste management preferred

· Possesses strong knowledge of local EHS/Security related regulatory requirements.

· An effective coach & mentor .
