Position – Product Manager
Responsibility
1. Properly understand drawing and specification data from customers, and convey the data to suppliers in an understandable form, with all substantial points covered. For those that need to be clarified, draft up open question list in English to customer for clarification.
2. Evaluate the manufacturing process, and communicate with the suppliers and even customers if necessary for the best process in terms of costs and quality guarantees.
3. Perform cost analysis covering material price & consumption, manufacturing process & costs, surface treatment, packaging and transportation costs etc.
4. Support project manager (or PM) in understanding RFQs and in sourcing appropriate suppliers.
5. Participate in the evaluation and selection of potential suppliers by assessing equipment precision, technical capability and production capacity etc.
6. Dominate the verification and approval of tooling and fixtures made by the suppliers.
7. Dominate the update and release of specification data towards suppliers and internal department.
8. Work with PM in establishing project plan towards sample and trial order etc.
9. Work with QC in qualifying sample, trial order and even series productions if necessary.
10. Help supplier in locating and resolving the uncertainties or failures in sample, trial order and series production process.
11. Participate in the follow-up of improvements towards unqualified points at suppliers.
12. Keep open dialogues regarding supplier selection & evaluation, project progress, financial cost and performance appraisal etc
13. Provide other function units with technical supports as needed;
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. 5+ years relative experiences, and BA degree in Mechanical l Engineering or related. Knowledge about MDF production & assembly would be a great plus!!
2. Team player with good interpersonal skills, both verbally and in writing
3. Proactive and eager to learn new areas
4. Good command of English in written
5. Excellent skills on 2D and 3D drawings
