JD: Power FAE/Product Engineer

Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience working with customers to provide strongly technical support for power supply application. This person must be innovative, creative and resourceful with regards to technical engagements with potential customers and problem solving.

Responsibilities:
* Technical engagement with customer for new design opportunities, drive projects/opportunities to final sales revenue.
* Recommend solutions to customer; trouble shoot issues; problem solve; provide input and field feedback to product marketing and engineering team.
* Assists with identification of new product and technology trends; collects market requirements and competitive offerings, and technical information. Presents consolidated analysis to the Marketing and Product Management teams. Target market for industrial, railway, power grid and medical.
* Prepares applications notes, sales training materials and provides reference designs, for application of our products
* Supports engineering/Quality and Sustaining for any application related issues
* Assist with translation of data sheets / web materials / promo items (where appropriate)
* Translate or write technical articles for electronics industry publications and press releases (where appropriate)
* Build customer confidence in Density Power technical ability in the application of our products.
* Perform bench testing and simulate applications on bench and report results.
* Duties and responsibilities may be modified or reassigned in order to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications & Requirements:
* Ability to understand power supply technology and engage in design discussions with customer.
* Must be able to solve complex problems, working independently or part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional skills. Engages with high level technical and business leaders both internally and at customers.
* Computer literacy in spreadsheets, word processing, and database programs.
* Ability to compile and present data to management, salespeople, and customers
* BSEE and/or MSEE. Equivalent experience as FAE or product engineer in power industry accepted.
* 3+ years in power supply design, applications engineering or technical sales.
* Background in the power industry a must.
* In-depth knowledge of the power supply market with previous power supply design experience a plus.
* Fluent in English speaking and writing
