Job Title: IT Security Engineer
Reports to: IT Security Engineering Manager
Subordinate: N/A

Job Purpose:
IT Security Engineer is required to work as global IT Security Engineering role, providing the highest level of security technical consultancy and engineering support for both IT security and IT infrastructure. This role will focus on designing and engineering security solutions/products in a global enterprise. This role is suited to an experienced security engineer with a proven understanding in enterprise security. This role is primarily project based, with numerous activities to expand and enhance the services provided within the environment. Solid security tool integration experience and essential programing/scripting experience are the key success factor of this position.
  1. This is a new position created to deliver security services at the technical level globally
  2. The key objective supposed to achieve in the first year for this position including:
  3. Learn, understand and master the current IT security solutions/products;
  4. Support to implement the infrastructure and initialization of Data Loss Protection project in EMEA/APAC regions;
  5. Support to create/fine-tune data classification and data loss prevention policies;
  6. Support to Proof of Concept (PoC) for various security solutions/products;
  7. Support IT security automation;
  8. Support any other program/project/task of Global IT Security (GIS) teams from the technical perspective.
  9. This position is supposed to be based in Shanghai and report to Regional IT Security Engineering Manager APAC but provide technical supporting service globally.
  10. GIS teams will be the primary internal customers and other IT divisions/teams will also be the important internal customers based on demand.
Responsibilities:
  1. This role is primarily responsible for GIS projects and engineering tasks at the technical level, including but not limited to platform establishment/upgrade, system integration, operation process development, etc.
  2. Windows/Linux server security solutions
  3. Windows endpoint security solutions
  4. Data classification and data loss prevention solutions
  5. Web/application/mobility security solutions
  6. Integrate various security solutions to analytics/compliance platforms
  7. Engineer for backend management server and database infrastructures
  8. Engineer for security infrastructures, platforms, systems and appliances
  9. Provide technical consultancy services to GIS teams and other IT teams
  10. Provide security consultancy services to IT programs/projects/initiatives
  11. Create, maintain, update and review documentations for any security engineering delivery
  12. Investigate, troubleshoot and review the root causes when escalated from operations

Requirements:
  1. This role requires solid IT security skills and broad view of IT security industrial trends and cutting-edge IT security technologies. Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructures and applications will grant significant help to the duty fulfilling. Solid programing/scripting ability is also the fundamental skill.
  2. Bachelor degree in IT or related field
  3. 10+ years of hands-on IT security working experience
  4. Excellent understanding and experience of architecting, engineering and automating Windows/Linux security solutions
  5. Other Platforms, a good understanding of risk IOS and Android, Mobile Apps
  6. Excellent understanding Windows/Linux OS knowledge, including security features
  7. Experience with Data Classification and/or Data Loss Prevention solutions
  8. Experience with SIEM solutions and/or security analytics solutions
  9. Solid knowledge of network infrastructure (Router/Switch/Firewall/IPS/IDS) and experience with network traffic analysis
  10. Basic knowledge of database (Oracle/MySQL/MsSQL)
  11. Solid knowledge of and experience with programing/scripting (PowerShell/VBScript/Bash/Regular Expression)
  12. Solid understanding of common security vulnerabilities and cyber-attacks
  13. Quick learning skill and cyber security passion
  14. Interpersonal skills (self-motivation/team player)
  15. Good understanding of Internet/Web technologies and Big Data/Analytics/Data Visualization technologies will bring additional benefits.
  16. Fundamental web development skills (PHP/HTML/JavaScript)
  17. Experience with Big Data solutions (Splunk/ELK) and/or Data Visualization solutions (Tableau/PowerBI)
  18. General IT infrastructure experience (Directory Service/Group Policy/Kerberos/DNS)
  19. Fundamental knowledge of common network protocols
  20. Fundamental knowledge of Cloud Computing and/or Enterprise Mobility Management
