Principal Accountabilities 主要职责

Works within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists to ensure successful delivery of antiviral drug discovery program from exploratory to lead optimization stage;
Initiate and execute research activities related to identification and characterization of antiviral targets;
Design and implement various in vitro and in vivo studies to elucidate molecular mechanism of drug action, drug interaction, drug resistance, and efficacy;
Prepare standard operational protocols, study reports and high-quality manuscripts
Other related duties as required, including organizing and maintaining virology laboratory and training junior scientists
Be capable of working in a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.

Qualification 岗位任职资格

Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in virology, molecular biology or a related field and have more than two years of post-degree experience. Industrial experience in antiviral drug discovery is preferred;
Candidate should be proficient in designing and conducting experiments involving state of art techniques in biochemistry, molecular biology, enzymology, pharmacology and cell-based assays; be capable of understanding chemistry and DMPKS results and collaborating effectively across functions.
Expertise in one of the following areas will be a plus: Viral replication; immunomodulation against virus; oncology
Candidate should communicate and collaborate efficiently with co-workers and train junior scientists, and be able to record and present results at Roche internal and international meetings in both English and Chinese.
