Job Summary:
Lattice Semiconductor is seeking an Engineer that possesses the desire and ability to apply solid RTL Logic techniques in developing FPGA system as part of the Validation and Characterization of our products. In this critical role, you will work directly with design, silicon architecture, verification, IP development, marketing, the business units and occasionally external customers.
The primary objective of Product Validation Engineering group is to move New Programmable Logic Product Design's from first silicon to manufacturing release as quickly as possible in order to maximize our revenue. While speed of execution is important, it is equally critical that the results from the PV group's validation and characterization be of excellent quality.
The PV organization is intentionally structured to be in the critical path for New Product Release and has high visibility throughout the organization. As a result, The PV group needs creative, high energy and innovative individuals in order to execute the tasks required to meet our objectives!

Responsibilities:

• Apply high speed FPGA Logic Design principles in developing application specific systems to validate Lattice silicon and IP core products.
  
• Develop control logic and integrate soft IP into FPGA system.
  
• Develop system test bench and execute the logic and performance simulation.
  
• Execute the board level testing and debug.
  
• Collaborate with product validation groups globally to achieve validation objectives.
  
• Partner with silicon architecture and Design Engineering to ensure device testability.
  
• Support internal and external customers on application issues for products released to production.
  

Qualifications:

• BSEE 5+, MSEE 3+ years' experiences in FPGA logic development, FPGA based system integration or research
  
• Strong coding skills with Verilog HDL, VHDL and C/C++
  
• Strong experiences with high speed (200MHz+) Verilog/VHDL based FPGA/ASIC designs
  
• Good understanding in Embedded System, including PCIe, Ethernet, DDR1/2/3
  
• Experiences with lab equipment such as signal generator, oscilloscope, logic analyzer
  
• System-Verilog verification experiences is a plus
  
• Fluent verbal/written English
