JOB DESCRIPTION - Customer Management Organisation

POSITION TITLE: Business Manager - Direct Retail or In-Direct Trade

REPORT TO : Customer Business Development Manager - Direct Retail or In-Direct Trade
DEPARTMENT: Sales
LOCATION: All locations in China


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Deploys and monitors the implementation of Sales strategies and initiatives for the Territroy in accordance with overall National Channel strategies and direction from the District Manager.

2. Delivers Sales goals through the effective placement of Sales team and resources
management (eg Headcount, trade payment and consumer promotions, etc.).

3. Manages expenses within the S&B budget given by the RD. Is expected to track spending to ensure the S&B and TP budget is not exceeded.

4. Conducts monthly Business Reviews with all key Customers (minimum Top 5).

5. Creates the Best Place to Work environment - Works with the CBDM to align to an Annual Organisation plan that includes recommendations for promotions and training courses for each person to attend to ensure effective development. Must work with each Direct report once per month on a specific development need.

6. Provides weekly data from the territory on Initiatives, pricing, distribution, shelving, merchandising and competitive activity.

7. Owns the specific GtM strategy for the territory based on the National Strategy and the relevant local market conditions.

PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:

Guidance received: CBDM and RD on sales strategies and objectives, coaching and training on Organisation Development and People management.

Complexity of analysis: Needs to fully understand the local trade environment, competitive trends and strategies and resource allocation.

Impact of decisions: Delivers Sales Targets (Sales, DSO, 5Ps and Initiative Implementation)

Special environments/conditions: Highly mobile and frequent travel throughout the sales territory.

MAJOR CONTACTS:

Internal: CBDM, sub-ordinates, RD, Customer Marketing, Logistics, Finance, HR

External: Trade Customers, Third Party Service Providers, downscale promotion operators.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPEREICNE:

Education: : University degree

Experience: 3 to 5 years Sales experience in multi-national cooperation.

Special Knowledge: Computer literacy, basic English skills, Account/Distributor Management
