Robert, Tan & Gao (RTG) is a luxury consultancy dedicated to helping companies succeed in China.
We are a group of internationally minded luxury specialists committed to China. With deep knowledge and experience in the Chinese market, we advise brands on their long term business strategy, and develop near term tactical planning for execution across their communications, product, and retail touch points.
We seek the brightest innovative thinkers and luxury consultants in China.
Currently, we are seeking a Business Director to join the luxury consulting team. The Business Director will be responsible to manage several teams in the pursuit of innovative and strategic communications work for our luxury brands. The Business Director will have a strategic mindset when it comes to communications and understand it within the luxury framework. The Business Director will act as a key point person to manage the client relationship and also be able to build new relationships with new clients. He/She will report directly to the executive management of the company.
Job responsibilities include:
· Provide senior level strategic counsel to clients on a wide range of corporate communication needs, including crisis and issues management, corporate communications
· Maintains senior relationships within client base, key-opinion leaders and other third-party relationships; positioning RTG as expert, business partner, informed and trusted counsel.
· Writing winning and creative proposals, programs, plans and other strategic documentation. Understands complex businesses and their issues.
· Provides lead on client programs - excels at managing regional and global communications programs and new business pitches.
· Identify, respond to and lead new business pitches
· Supports other practices on existing and new-business projects.
· Manage budgets, billing and client reporting
· Support RFP submissions and new client pitch processes and teams through research, brainstorming, industry and competitive analysis and stakeholder assessments
The ideal candidates will have / be:
· Minimum 6 - 8 years relevant experience (Client/Agency/Media)
· Experience developing and implementing comprehensive programs and tactics, along with supporting materials
· Has accountability for meeting client expectations at all times.
· Has accountability for ensuring evaluation and measurement of communications programs within teams.
· Communications planning - determines course of action for the whole team on client programs, timescales, deadlines, reviewing to ensure targets are met.
· Writing - produces first-class and creative written work at all times.
· Quality standards - sets high quality standards, has an eye for detail.
· Identify, respond to and lead new business pitches
· Manage budgets, billing and client reporting
· A desire and ability to coach and mentor staff
· Both strategic and creative with strong local consumer insights.
***Experience with Luxury and premium brands will be highly regarded***
