Position Summary:
Cost Estimating is defined as: Provides cost estimated/comparison costs for the value of goods that are provided by the supply chain. Position will collect and analyze data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others. Will be responsible for all stages of product costing including any revisions during prototyping.

Major Duties:
？ Work with management and sales on annual cost modeling to determine percentage of cost vs. profit.
？ Responsible for input of Bills of Materials into ERP system.
？ Responsible for direction of time studies to effectively determine the time needed to produce the product.
？ Must be able to develop labor standards for new prototypes.
？ Establish costs for all material usage and WIP scrap.
？ Responsible for control and monitoring of project total expenditure including verification and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure all expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
？ Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives, or put forward recommendations for improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:
？ Communicate with personnel, other departments and vendors to evaluate problem areas and establish processes to increase quality of performance.
？ Reviewing, approving and developing the following, but not limited to: estimates and budgets, plans and schedules, tracking performance, analyzing variances, identifying trends.
？ Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review.
？ Using a high level of professional judgement and knowledge related to technical cost management skills and practices.
？ Perform other expense and cost related analysis as required or assigned.
？ Promote and support Health and Safety guidelines within the workplace. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Qualifications/Requirements:
？ Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management from an accredited college/university or 15+ years related work experience in lieu of degree.
？ Lean manufacturing experience and the ability to translate into positive manufacturing improvements will be valuable.
？ A thorough understanding of capability to schedule complex engineering and manufacturing projects.
？ Proficiency in ERP systems is highly advantageous.
？ Detailed-oriented and efficient; analytical, and the ability to multi-task.
？ Strong experience in the use of spreadsheets, estimating pricing models and cost management tools.
？ Outstanding organizational skills; well organized and self-directed with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
？ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
？ Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to interface effectively at all levels both
internally and externally.
？ Fluent in both Mandarin & English. Fluent is defined as proficient in both written and conversational communication.
？ Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Environmental/Physical Demands:
？ Must be able to work with factory OEM partners in Asia. This will require travel to, and much time spent on the manufacturing floor/R&D department.
？ Extensive travel is required in mostly China, but Vietnam & Indonesia are also to be included.
？ Must have ability to travel internationally with no restrictions and valid passport.
？ Office environment / no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
