United Technologies Research Center (China) Ltd. invites qualified individuals to apply for the following position in the Shanghai office. This position will compensate the chosen candidate at competitive local Shanghai market wage rate, and benefits will be administered based on local Shanghai benefit practices.

Information Technology Analyst

Job Description:

? Provide leadership for the Information Technology function at UTRC (China).
? Coordinate and maintain the High Performance Computing (HPC) resources at UTRC (China), including support of other UTC business units that use this resource.
? Install and support engineering software applications on workstations and at our dedicated HPC.
? Work closely with engineering teams and provide support for all Linux related issues such as installing, configuring and maintaining Linux workstations and Cluster, both software and hardware.
? Work with project teams on projects that involve the use of private and external cloud services.
? Maintain and support UTRC China’s ERP system.
? Serve as liaison between UTRC (China) and CSC.
? Work with vendors for equipment/software/service purchasing, trouble shooting, and maintenance.
? Maintain IT room, air conditioning and hardware inspection. Support UTC IT Annual Audit.
? Support research scientists on technical projects by setting up the IT infrastructure, testing new equipment/software and developing programs to meet demonstration purpose.

Qualifications:
? Years of IT Experience: 5 Years
? Education: Bachelors' degree or above in the area of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation or other relevant disciplines.
? Hands-on experiences on Windows/Linux OS, Windows Office and other supporting software.
? Solid programming skills in Matlab, C++, Java (or Python).
? Understanding of Cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure and has experiences to configure the cloud and deploy applications on the cloud.
? Good knowledge of different types of software licenses (both commercial and open-source) and can evaluate software licenses terms for engineering projects.
? Family with IT policies and processes for multi-national companies.
? Fluent English (both written and spoken), solid technical writing, presentation, project management and communication skills.
? Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities with project management skills
