Travel Requirements: (Describe by percentage) 30-40%

Based in Shanghai for China to facilitate the international client's development of the Chinese outbound travel market. We design and implement a wide range of innovative programs to create high visibility and market leadership for top outbound destinations, tourist attractions, luxury cruises and leading tour management companies. The company was established in 2003 and now employs over 20 multi-lingual professionals.


l.Primary Purpose:
The principle role of the BD Manager is to be responsible for implementing the market development strategies for our Clients in China.

2.Responsibility:
1) Implement the agreed strategies to increase the market share of Clients Product in China
2) Constantly source market intelligence of leisure & business tourism, airlines, travel industry and competitor destinations in the China market.
3) Work closely with the appointed senior staff within HD.
4) Implement the agreed strategies of client to achieve targets.
5) Maintain close regular communication with HD through regular reports both oral and in written communication.
6) Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with the in-market decision makers of outbound tourism both corporate and related travel industry.
7) Ensure the month end reporting processes are undertaken, as per the set deadlines.
8) Achieve the budget of visitors from China for Client.
9) Visit, contact and follow up with the agreed regularity the targeted markets of China as outlined in the sales & marketing plan exclusively for Client.
10) Have regular sales call to China Travel Agencies in main cities.


3. Job Requirements:
1) Candidates must be fluent in English, both oral and written.
2) Understand travel industry.
3) Be able to travel both domestically & internationally.
4) At least 3 years high end international travel or luxury hotel sales and marketing experience in tourism, hospitality or luxury brands industry, have sense in promoting luxury brands.
5) Very good communication and interpersonal communication skills.
6) Familiar with luxury industry, good connections with high end travel agencies would be a plus.
