Gatan China is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to fill the position of Application Specialist / Engineer specialized in materials science.

This role reports to China Sales Manager. The primary objective is to fully engage in marketing activities, supporting Gatan China sales team and external sales channels. Duties also include customer trainings on Gatan products.

Key Responsibilities

? Technical sales presentations to customers and external sales channel
? Product (technical and applications) training to customer and external sales channel
? Product demonstration, sample run support and result presentation
? Marketing and sales support collateral generation
? Campaign support – active participation in conferences, organizing workshops and seminars
Skills

- Strong TEM and/or SEM proficient with hands-on experience in materials science applications
- Skill in presenting and training on TEM and/or SEM related technology/products
(Knowledge in Gatan products and technology a plus)
- Require at least 2 years working experience in applications in EM industry
- Proficient in spoken and written English (business level)
- Fluent in Chinese
- Good inter-personal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Willing to learn new job related skills
Requirements

- Advanced degree in physics, materials science, engineering, or other related fields
- Frequent travels required (~ 50% - 70%) including occasional international travels

The position is based in Beijing (preferred) or Shanghai.
