Assistant Logistics Manager is the liaison between Sales & Marketing, Finance, BIC Asia Logistics, suppliers or forwarder and warehouse services (3PL or internal) to ensure smooth Logistics Operations for BIC China. Primary responsible for all Logistics which include Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory, Customer service, inbound, outbound shipping arrangement for all BIC products within BIC China.
Demand Planning:
- Drive and maintain a reliable operational demand plan per category (short term) with the Sales
and Marketing team
- Tracking operational performance against the demand & supply plan and taking corrective
actions when needed
- Steering the sales organisations with regards to slow moving and obsolete stock
- Managing replenishment strategy to local stock points to maximize customer service
- Drive and enable Phasing In and Phasing Out processes by timely sales planning +
promotional planning
- Preparation of the long term base plan (one year horizon)
- Manage and ensure right quantity products for Sales
- Manage potential availability issues and product allocation
- Keep organization updated on actual stock situation and Supply constraints (reporting)
- Review Forecast accuracy as input for future planning improvements.
- Monitor inbound deliveries from the BIC Asia / factories to the local warehouse
Replenishment and Production orders:
- Raise PO for Finished goods and Premiums to Societe BIC factories/OEMs
- Create Production orders / subcon PO to 3rd party suppliers
Customer Service :
- Liaison between the Customers (internal or external), the outsourced warehouse services and
BIC. Primary responsible for orders processing and monitoring (stock availability, picking slip,
Deliveries schedule etc…), the Customer Service Executive is responsible as well for the
billing process and Customers complaints resolution, together with the Sales team.
Warehouse management:
- Liaise with 3PL warehouse and 3PL forwarder to ensure shipment arrive and ship on time
- To manage and support functions of Customer Service to ensure timely process of orders
& handling of customer delivery issues
- Provide periodic Inventory updates to Sales & Marketing teams
- Liaise with BIC Asia Team and manage China custom clearance for all inbound shipment
- To manage and ensure all warehouse cost, inward/outward freight cost within budget
