MISSION / PURPOSE OF THE JOB
-Administration of sales of Eramet nickel products in China
-General administration for China Sales General Manager, Nickel Division (“GM”)
REPORTING
-For all matters, reporting to the GM
-Some instructions related to payment (E.g. modifications to ask the customer based on their L/C draft, etc.) to come from the Customer Service (“SC”) of Eramet Nickel “Commercial Direction” (“DC”) in Paris
-Some logistics instructions (E.g. available sailing schedule to pass to customers, etc.) to come from the Operation Department (“DO”) of Eramet Nickel DC
RESPONSABILITIES
Administration of sales of Eramet nickel products in China
-Timely update the ferronickel and Sandouville products’ sales follow-up
-Communication with customers for timely execution of customer’s payment obligations (L/C, else) as per contractual commitments
-In coordination with the China Nickel Sales Manager, pro-active interface between customer and the person-in-charge at SC for L/C and other payment administration-related matters
-In coordination with the China Nickel Sales Manager, pro-active interface between customer and the person-in-charge at DO logistics (customer’s preferences / constraints, Eramet sailing schedule and constraints, …)
Non-sales nickel-related administration
-For all files making up Eramet’s nickel knowledge base in China (E.g. Weekly Price Report, Monthly Flash Nickel Report, Quarterly Report), accurately and timely update data (E.g. import / export customs statistics)
-Assist with administration of visits to China by foreign Eramet foreign colleagues and management (letter of invitation, accommodation, flights,…)
-Assist with administration of event organization in China (regional nickel meetings held in Shanghai, participation to SF China)
-Registration to industry conferences for participating members of Eramet Nickel China team
-Local printing of Eramet;s quarterly Nickel Outlook and dispatch to customers under GM instructions
-Administration of subscriptions to industry websites, purchase of CTI customs statistics, etc., under GM instruction
General administration for the GM
Among other duties:
-Management of GM monthly expense report in Concur
-Flight checking and booking according to the company rules (FASCO, etc.)
A good command of the English language, both spoken and written, is an absolute pre-condition for this job (daily interface with Eramet nickel DC in France)

Eramet also implements development programmes to serve the growing needs of the Chinese market, including the 75,000-ton programme for nickel in New Caledonia.
ERAMET NICKEL
Eramet Nickel makes nickel ore in its mines in New Caledonia then converts it into Ferro nickel in the Doniambo plant near the capital, Nouméa. Using the nickel matte it produces in New Caledonia, the division also manufactures high-purity nickel and nickel chlorides in its Sandouville plant near Le Havre (France) . In addition , Eramet Nickel makes ultrafine cobalt powders in Eurotungstène’s Grenoble (France) plant.
In 2004, nickel prices reached all-time highs due to growing demand and limited supply, with an average price of 6.27 USD/ld. Demand for ferronickel for stainless steel (which consumes 2/3 of global nickel production) and for nickel for alloys rose sharply from 2003, while other outlets (electroplating,electronics) were stable. In total, the division achieved operating income of 310 million in 2004.
