JOB DESCRIPTION
Job title: Quality Manager, Global OEM
Reports to: Quality Manager, MFG Quality
Subordinate: 0
Working location: Shanghai, China

Job Purpose:
Be the role of bridge between global OEM and China JVs. Leading quality problem solving and improving problem solving capability of China JVs, coaching manufacturing quality improvement.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead China JVs to participate in global customer’s regular meeting, transmit global customer’s requirement to China JVs and coach them to meet customer’s requirement, which include customer report, special quality issue report and etc.
  2. Lead trouble shooting in production with specified problem solving strategy
  3. Coach JV for their problem solving, and reporting capability improvement
  4. Participate in quality academy improvement of problem solving section and generate new quality training courses
  5. Lead operational waste logical analysis and reduction, KPI report analysis and improvement
  6. Lead customer scorecard analysis and standardize monthly report
  7. Apply, execute and maintain function related BOS issues
  8. Coordinate or personally support JV on Quality managers short term period needs


Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, major in technical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or the Sciences
  2. 10 years of experience in business/operational of automotive industry, 3-5 management experience, automotive seating products/Japanese customers’ experience is preferred
  3. Familiar with 6 sigma problem solving strategy, professional with DOE, MSA and SPC or equivalent knowledge is required
  4. Be familiar with IATF16949 quality system
  5. Have knowledge and experience of APQP, PPAP, FMEA
  6. Enthusiasm, capability of self-pressure management, ability of good communication and coordination
  7. Good PPT and presentation skills, fluent with written English, and oral English can be communicated
  8. Knowledge of Shainin problem solving strategy is preferred
