1. VSM China product supply process to identify the improvement opportunities and communicate with the relative functional groups to implement the program to deliver cost savings or improve quality or service level.
2. Implement cost saving projects and product change projects and lead all the relative activities. Deliver the projects within the planned scope, schedule, savings according to the project plan and timeline developed by the US team. Provide onsite management of Contract Manufacturers activities to ensure ongoing compliance to plan. Keep very close communication with US functional teams on the project progress and track project KPI¡¯s vs. plan targets to make sure the success of the change.
3. Identify CMs¡¯ major quality problems/customer complaints and work with them to find solution and solve the problem. Implement LEAN activities to help CMs reduce material scrap and prevent potential quality issues.
4. Implement new product launch in regional area. Closely communicate with regional marketing to understand the project scope. Also work with US functional teams on the project progress to make sure product launch on time with good quality.
5. Ensure that the Contract Manufacturers clearly understand expectations for cost, quality, and customer service and that they demonstrate the capability to achieve the desired targets on an ongoing basis.
6. Ensure that the applicable portions of the footprint transition occur in accordance with local laws and in a manner complies with HYH rules and guidelines and in accordance with the long-range objectives of Health Care.
7. Ensure that applicable portions of footprint projects are executed in accordance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO 9000, ISO13485, ISO11607, as required and that authorized product standards and systems are in place. Also, ensure compliance to specifications to meet customer needs.
8. Provide support to Sourcing and Supply team once codes are transferred to help optimize pricing in the region specific to each Contract Manufacturer.
9. Work with FG and RM planers and CMs to ensure all the orders can be delivered on time and expected customer service level can be met. During project runs, ensure that all inventory based on site at Contract Manufacturers for validation activities is quarantined from good production materials and that all HYH owned material are accounted for during the transition phases of the project.
10. Provide travel assistance to US based project team as needed. Ensure contract manufacturers and visitors abide by established safety rules and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
Key Relationships / Customer Expectations (Optional)
Key Customers include: Internal and External Health Care Product Supply, Health Care Sales/Marketing, Healthcare R&E, Health Care Quality, and Health Care Strategic Capability teams and may also include the HYH internal mills, Nonwoven mill, HYH Asia Pacific Affiliates and other functions.
Expectations include:
1. Ensure that all activities are executed in a safe and effective manner.
2. Support the clear and measurable project plans developed by the US based teams.
3. Regularly communicate project performance against deliverables to the project team.
4. Publish established project KPI’s and measure performance to planned scope, schedule, cost, and savings.
5. Provide support to project team participants to accomplish all objectives of the project.
6. Ensure that the quality of transferred products meet the specifications.
7. Ensure that the objectives of the project are aligned with sector strategies.
8. Openly communicate between internal operating units to promote teamwork.
9. Openly foster communication between internal and external teams to promote teamwork.
10. Ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations.
11. Ensure alignment of manufacturing and distribution capabilities to effectively manage total supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required
Project Leader must have a broad knowledge of project management skills, ability to learn Design and Change Control, IQ/OQ/PQ processes, internal specification procedures, and Cost of Manufacturing controls. Project Leader must be capable of supporting and leading a diverse team of individuals to accomplish specific project objectives. Typically the Project Leader would have a bachelor’s degree from a local university and speak English fluently.
Specialized or Essential Knowledge Required (Optional)
This position is an individual contributor with direct responsibility for supporting US based team members as well as providing support to an extended support team to accomplish the goals of the various company sectors. Project Leader will be required to travel in order to ensure the coordination of the various projects and businesses.
