Position Summary

Community Engagement intern’s primary role is to support the planning and implementation of community service programs including ongoing volunteering programs, program outreach, service seminar and training etc. Meanwhile, the intern will also work with the community engagement team and student life office to plan and implement various community and students’ involvement programs as assigned.


Responsibility
Community Service programming
? Assist the planning and implementation of various community service programs by working closely with various departments, faculty and external NGO partners;
? Assist the organization of various service events, talks and trainings focusing on service;
? Support community service student coordinators for various programs between NYU Shanghai and the partner organizations.
Marketing and communication
? Assist the development of NYU Shanghai Community Engagement marketing contents, marketing materials etc.;
? Promote community service activities and programs within and outside the NYU Shanghai community via various channels;
? Assist the survey and evaluation of the programs including questionnaire design, data collection, reporting etc.
Administration
? Assist financial administration including researching suppliers, placing order and etc.;
? Track record of the community service activities and programs throughout the year;
? Help other student involvement team’s program as assigned.


Qualification
Required Attendance
? At least 2 days in a week, from now through the end of May 2017 (end of Spring Semester)
Required Education and experience
? Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred;
? Experience with administrative and event management is preferred;
? Experience studying and working in a multicultural environment is preferred;
? Volunteering and social service experiences preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
? Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese;
? Excellent ability to pay attention to detail;
? Superb ability to prioritize among projects and multitask;
? Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team. 举报 分享
