Summary of Role:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES quality engineer is responsible for product quality support for customer chips, including bringing up support during prototype phase, enable smooth volume ramp-up during production, product failure analyze and continue quality improvement through whole product life cycle.


Essential Responsibilities: (as appropriate for the above positions)

1. Coordinate local and overseas expertise among various team to solve customer quality problem by proper manners including but not limited to:
- Product qualify failure analysis, including data collection, test design and MGF correlation
- Design review by using industry EDA tools
- Perform on-site customer support

2. Experienced in improving debug efficiency, MFG process and quality control mechanism for Y2Y failure reduction

Required Qualifications:
1. Education: CS/EE or background in areas related to large scale chip design & semiconductor MFG
2. Experience
        - 5+ years work experience in PCBA troubleshooting, chip failure analysis, MGF and test
        - 3+ years in Customer Quality Management
                     - work experience in chip design is a plus
       - AE or PE experience on products of Networking, Storage, Server Computing is a plus
      - Basic working knowledge of Engineering disciplines involved in product development and
      - Intermediate IC manufacturing & reliability knowledge
      - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in fast paced environment

3. Knowledge of below areas are preferred
- Foundry MFG process and test knowledge of leading edge technology (28nm or beyond)
- Chip DFT design & ATE test knowledge
- Chip front/backend design knowledge

4. Good English, communication skills, and willingness to work with a global team.
5. Frequent travel capability
6. Good learning competency and ability to work in diverse areas in a flexible environment
