Pre-Prep School Music Teacher (Part Time)

Main Purpose:
To assume responsibility for teaching Music, primarily in the Pre-Prep School of the College under the direction of the Head of Music and by following the Wellington College curriculum.
This is a limited Part-Time maternity cover only.

Main Tasks:
The successful candidate will play a key role in the music teaching at Wellington College in Shanghai. The College is looking for a candidate who would relish the challenge of deliver music primarily within the Pre-Prep and KS1 curriculum.
The Pre-Prep School Music teacher will have the responsibility for teaching music to students 2-6 year olds, the content of each lesson being determined by the College curriculum and by the Head of Music. The teacher will ensure that the subject is delivered in a way that provides coverage, progression and continuity. The teacher will also be required to carry out other such duties as the Head of the Prep School or the Master may reasonably direct from time to time. He/she is expected to display the highest standards of professionalism in his/her teaching and in his/her relationships with colleagues and parents.
The teacher must ensure that an exciting learning environment is provided for the teaching of Music, and that the students develop a positive attitude to the subject within the College. The teacher must present lessons in a structured and co-ordinated manner with due regard to the ability of the students and the curriculum targets of the pupils.

Essential Subject Skills:
Experience in delivering music within the Pre-Prep and KS1 curriculum. Familiarity with the British National Curriculum for Music.
Experienced in the use of ICT within the music curriculum and a willingness to keep up to date with developments in this area. Good keyboard skills.

Desirable Subject Skills:
Experience working in an international school.
Experience in leading musical activities with Pre-Prep and Key Stage 1 year groups. 举报 分享

    上海惠灵顿国际学校总建筑面积约3.6万平方米，预计可容纳从幼儿园至高中的总计1500名学生就学。上海陆家嘴集团前滩指挥部总指挥表示，希望这所学校能为生活在上海的国际家庭，以及在上海发展的国际企业总部提供一个优秀的名校品牌。
    上海惠灵顿国际学校坐落于前滩国际商务区小黄浦河道以北，是入驻前滩的第一个功能性项目。前滩地区是上海“十二五”期间六大重点开发区域之一。该区域还将不断改善配套功能，包括引进新加坡大型医疗集团，开办义务教育学校等。
