As Accounting Manager - China, your essential job functions will include the following:
General Accounting
? Establish and maintain effective internal controls for all accounting activities to assure control and protection of assets and accurate reporting of financial position.
? Manage the financial close process on a monthly basis to assure the timely, accurate preparation of financial statements consistent with U.S. GAAP, local statutory accounting policies and all Company policies and procedures.
o Develop an in-depth understanding of ERP systems in order to maintain accurate accounting records.
o Assure that all journal entries are properly supported and all accounts are appropriately reconciled on a monthly basis.
o Work closely with the U.S. Accounting team to reconcile intercompany accounts.
o Assure that inventory costs are maintained on an accurate and timely basis. Work closely with the Supply Chain team to understand vendor programs and changing cost structures.
o Monitor actual financial performance versus budget, and provide explanations for variances.
? Closely track VAT inputs and outputs and maintain all supporting documentation for monthly VAT filings through the Golden Tax system.
? Manage the accounting process for fixed assets to assure timely accurate reporting for both financial and tax purposes. Implement a plan to conduct regular physical inventories of all company-owned fixed assets.
? Provide financial support to other internal functions, such as supply chain, business development, program management, and sales, as needed.
? Act as accounting lead for annual physical inventories at warehouses.
? Assist with the coordination of the year-end audit with the external auditors.
? Collaborate with third-party tax advisers to provide support for monthly, quarterly, and annual tax return preparation and tax audits.
? Develop and maintain external relationships with auditors, banks, leasing companies, insurance brokers, and tax agencies.
? Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, recommend appropriate solutions, and support implementation of improvements.

Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching
? Provide direction and leadership to direct reports.
? Communicate operational priorities, objectives, and goals.
? Facilitate problem solving and collaboration.
? Complete a performance evaluation of each team member and recommend appropriate action such as promotions, counseling and termination.
? Determine staffing needs, interview potential candidates and hire associates.

Other Duties as Assigned
Position Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting required.
? Minimum of 5-7 years relevant accounting experience.
? Knowledge of U.S. GAAP required.
? Experience in developing, improving, and implementing financial information systems. 举报 分享
