Job Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Project Management, the main purpose of this role is to ensure that allocated projects are completed in an effective, economic manner and to a high quality standard complying with the Company Procedures and the clients’ requirements, thereby maximising the opportunity for repeat business from the Client. The Project Manager will be expected to involve the project bidding procedure, take projects from once the tender is won, undertake pre-contracts management up until the projects start on site and then deliver them. He/she must be a proven hands-on operational team player who can set direction and deliver within challenging market conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with the team, consultants and parties involved regarding the projects.
2. As a project leader to lead the project team and ensure quality and costs of the project improvement works are in line with the client requirement.
3. To provide all aspects of quantity surveying and contract administration services including cost estimate, cost control, tender documentation, settlement of final accounts.
4. Deliver projects with the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case/client brief stage, while maintaining focus on time, cost and quality.
5. Assisting with the compilation of tender documents, and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
6. Managing changes to the contract scope including cost, schedule, quality of the project, early warning notices, compensation events and contractor’s claims.
7. Managing and certifying all interim payments to the contractor.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Bachelor degree in Project Management or equivalent.
2. Experienced in handling corporate interiors projects.
3. Implement in development of contracting strategies
4. Monitor and forecast the execution of budget.
5. Negotiate with contractors and suppliers for tender.
6. Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
7. Knowledge of interior design and construction management customarily acquired over time through
specialised instruction or practical experience.
8. Good at presentation, commercial negotiation, variation management and cost data analysis.
9. Ability to work on different concurrent commissions with demanding time scales/programmes.
10. Good communication skill.
11. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
