Directly under the responsibility of the Purchasing Director (CPO), you are responsible for your purchasing categories and suppliers. You represent the purchasing function within the company.
You are responsible for the purchasing process and are in charge of supplier’s research, selection and negotiation necessary to ExperBuy. You respect the objectives in the best conditions of optimal cost, deadline, margin and quality.
You work in collaboration with the Pilot Purchasers of the other agencies and the procurement officers. You know the Incoterms, the payment terms, you know the products you purchase and you know how to analyze the financial structure of a supplier.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market prospection and assessment
- Ensure a permanent market monitoring: find out strategic information for the company, analyze key factors of the market evolution,
- Conduct market research for products and suppliers,
- Evaluate the capability of suppliers to deliver products which meets the expectations in terms of technical criteria and internal processes,
- Closely monitor technological developments of the purchased products and marketing demand trends, attend trade shows.
Negotiation and follow-up of contracts
- Identify and select suppliers,
- Control, evaluate, and approve the suppliers according to defined criteria (the process of homologation),
- Write and send out a RFP (request for proposals),
- Evaluate the validity of offers / proposals,
- Negotiate purchasing contract terms and conditions (written with the collaboration of legal and financial department) along with risk assessment,
- Follow the contracts implementation, ensure the suppliers quality, the payment initiation, and also help in the settlement of disputes,
- Act as an interface with the internal user services and determine their level of satisfaction according to the purchases and the suppliers.
- Develop and implement the purchasing process
- Be responsible for the whole purchasing process for his portfolio of suppliers,
- Establish and update the suppliers database, manage supplier and products panels through purchasing categories,
- Formalize meetings summaries between the purchasers, the suppliers…
- Stimulate and foster synergies purchasing between the Group agencies,
- Organize regular short briefings with the other Pilot Purchasers,
- Meet the procurement officers’ needs in terms of suppliers,
- Punctually help the procurement officers with the SPOT negotiation.
- To follow up the suppliers
- Daily follow-up with suppliers in order to take prompt measures in case of quality incidents, delivery and payment …
- Identify and manage the suppliers’ risks, set up appropriate action plans to reduce its effects (preventive and curative actions),
- Resolve disputes with suppliers (financial, quality, etc.),
- Detect innovative suppliers (technological and competitive watch) and make them know within the company.
- Administrative management of Purchasing
- Manage products or service categories,
- Prepare the Strategic Meetings of Purchasing Policy for his categories,
- Analyze evolutions of purchasing performance and ensures monthly dashboards (by category and supplier),
- Ensure smooth functioning of logistic processes,
- Taking part in the requirement definition
- Discuss and exchange efficiently with internal departments (procurement, accounting, sales, consulting, quality, etc.),
- Work upstream with the sales Dept. to better understand the customer specific needs, for commercial forecasts in the short and medium terms.
Profile:
- From higher education (Business or engineering), with a purchasing specialization, required experience as a purchaser between 5 and 7 years.
- Being a force of proposals, you have good communication skills and relational ease.
- You have a highly developed sense of service, you enjoy working in a team and you respect hierarchy.
- You are a person of integrity and dynamic, you own real negotiation skills.
- Available, rigorous and methodic, with strong analytical spirit, you can work independently, manage priorities with a good adaptation capacity.
