POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSTION TITLE: Product Development Executive 产品开发专员
DEPARTMENT: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
REPORTS TO: V.P. of MERCHANDISING
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility is to work closely with our designers and buyers on the buying trips to vendors and trade fairs, to follow up the product development process, to coordinate with vendors about providing the samples and quote sheets in a timely manner, and to work on catalogs before the show season.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Candidate will be responsible for traveling with our USA buyers to factories and trade fairs, coordination with vendors on sample development in compliance with our requirement and time frame, following up and dealing with all issues about product development in and after buying trips, completion of quotation spreadsheet and communicating with vendors on sample delivery arrangement, preparing all necessary data for the catalogs each season. And any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
**College Degree or above, major in international trade preferred
**No less than 8 to 9 years of working experience in a similar position in a foreign company, buying for US importer or retailer preferred
**Good knowledge of the holiday, gift and home décor products and familiar with related vendors shipping to US market would be a big plus
**Fluent in English, both orally and in written is a must
**Proficient computer skills, excellent in word/Excel/Powerpoint/E-mail
**Hardworking, details oriented, honest and responsible
**Team work spirit, strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills, mature and positive attitude
**Ability to multi-task & prioritize accordingly
**Willing to frequent travels and working late hours when necessary
