Sourcing Analyst, Shanghai
Responsibilities:
- Execute standardized sourcing processes and strategies for assigned categories/sub-categories
- Work effectively with peers and others to operate a proactive supplies and consumables environment for the businesses
- Conduct RFx sourcing(includes eAuctions) and benchmarking for the commodities and services assigned and create analysis to support recommendations for periodic changes in supply
- Ability to understand standard purchasing practices and techniques, independently work with suppliers and receiving locations to quickly reconcile discrepancies with supplier deliveries and other client terms & conditions.
- Analyse quotations, manages day-to-day supplier interfaces including discrepancies/deliveries, etc. - Participates as member of Sourcing Team to ensure compliance with all procurement processes
- Conduct suppliers performance validation events.
- Conduct basic supplier profiling and financial risk assessment activities
Competencies and skills
- Category and industry awareness
- Awareness of supply agreement formation, ability to effectively interact with legal counsel
- Excellent communication – written and verbal
- Analytical aptitude and business acumen
- Team player, high motivation, positive, can-do attitude, flexibility and adaptable to changing situations
- Proficient of English. Other language skills is a plus. (Japanese, Korean, etc.)
- e-Sourcing experience is a plus.
Education and Experience
- Education: 2-year Associate Degree(field related) or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Degree (PF)
- Experience: 0-3 yrs. relevant purchasing experience
- Proficiency: Excel, Word; PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP/ P2P systems knowledge(PF)
