Reporting into the Brand Marketing Manager, you will support the team in local brand awareness projects and its liaison with with media both in the China and HK markets.
Our new luxury office space, which serves as the hub for our business in the Greater China region, is set in the heart of Shanghai. What You’ll Do:
- Securing widespread product-placement opportunities through pro-active media relations
- Enhancing existing media relationships while forging new ones with key media and bloggers
- Identifying key PR opportunities in publications in the China and HK markets and enhancing key elements of the press office (eg. Opp folders, contact databases) in order to achieve higher coverage in these markets
- Proactively and effectively identifying news-worthy brand and product stories from knowledge of luxury fashion and what makes a great story
- Working collaboratively across different functions within the business including; digital marketing, editorial, social media, partnership and VIP teams.
- Writing and distributing press releases, e-blasts and key news/trends alerts for HK market
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the department preparing monthly PR reports and monitoring media for press coverage daily
- Managing our media databases and maintaining our press books, and communicating key successes to wider business
- Supporting the co-ordination of press events and experiences
- Supporting the co-ordination of all other brand marketing functions such as VIP events, brand campaign, brand partnership, editorials, and celebrity endorsement and collaboration projects
Who You Are:
- 3-4 years’ solid experience working in a press office, ideally with exposure to fashion/e-commerce environment (agency or in-house)
- Solid understanding of commercial PR with key contacts across consumer media and understanding of the landscape of e-commerce luxury fashion industry.
- Good knowledge of both the China and HK media and fashion bloggers and a good base of key contacts
- Profound understanding of the luxury fashion industry and disruptive e-commerce landscape
- Extremely well-organised and efficient, with good common sense and initiative
- Impeccable communication skills for both internal and external liaison liaise with press and business partners
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to think globally and creatively
- Great writing skills and attention to details
- Hardworking with a hunger to learn and achieve
- Fluent in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
