Job Purpose

To ensure the effective and efficient procurement of parts, materials and services for use in the assembly of our products. Deals with day to day transactions and problem solving to ensure supply of materials supports business requirements by following established purchasing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the procurement of products based on required demands.
Working as part of a team to ensure the successful procurement of products across the supply chain and client base.
Maintaining on time delivery parts to meet production requirements
Building and maintaining productive working relationships with our supplier base.
Ensuring on-time delivery of quality materials within budget to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
Ensuring the accurate and timely maintenance of all systems and records.
Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
Evaluates vendor reliability
Organizes program-based activities within the materials team; interacts with Engineering, Production, Quality and other departments that require materials coordination.
Performs other related duties as required.

Essential Criteria

Minimum of 3 year experience working within a supply chain environment.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Experience in working with overseas suppliers and customers.
Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively and professionally in both English and Mandarin (Chinese)
Have the ability to acquire a VISA to travel to the United Kingdom and the United States of America
Experience working with multi-national organizations and across cultures

Desirable Criteria

A bachelor's degree in a business related discipline or two years of more experience in a supply chain environment.
Experience working with supply chain systems (i.e. knowledge of JDE or MRP, Materials Requirements Planning packages, SAP, Ariba).
Qualified or working towards a relevant supply chain qualification.
Some international travel may be required
