Role Summary/Purpose
* PhD degree in Polymer Science, Polymer Chemistry or Physics, Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering * Ability to solve problems and handle diverse responsibilities * Ability to think creatively and communicate ideas effectively to senior leaders and operators * Creative, versatile, passionate for new technologies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English * Energetic, vigorous attitude, inclusive in working relationship with other functions * Team work spirit, good communication and interpersonal skills * Visionary, out of the box thinker, open to ideas, global mindset * Statistical analysis and industrial experience will be considered a plus. * Korea background will be considered a plus
Essential Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and commercialization of new products in close cooperation with the product management team in the engineering plastics field. * Develop new polymer blends and formulations to access new markets, working closely with customers and the commercial team to define new opportunities. * Work with Manufacturing teams across global locations to scale-up new products and translate existing products including: data analysis, systems ownership, and testing expertise. * Interact with the global technology team, sourcing, and suppliers to identify new materials to drive growth programs and to find solutions supporting business profitability and cost out efforts. * Provide technical expertise and strong analytic skills to solve manufacturing, quality, and customer issues
Qualifications/Requirements
