Role Summary/Purpose
Role Summary/Purpose · Perform research in the next generation medical X-ray system technologies · Develop and perform research to enhance the current X-ray product capabilities · Present research at conferences, publish in leading journals, develop patent disclosures · Execute on research programs in X-ray system and application.
Essential Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities · Develop novel X-ray system concepts that will grow cross-business applications of X-ray. Work with GE global teams to enhance the current X-ray product capabilities · Develop system models and identify and implement image quality improvement and new product modeling/design/evaluation. · Initiate new concepts to reduce product cost by innovative system designs · Understand the current market needs, state-of-art technology in X-ray imaging, and clinical applications · Develop prototype X-ray systems hardware with mechanical and electronics groups. Other Responsibilities Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance and Expectations: To ensure your 100% compliance with the Safe Production Law of P.R. China and with GE's EHS Policy (20.3), all CTC employees must: understand and comply with CTC's EHS Policy, safety instructions and established job specific safety procedures and rules; correctly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE); obey PPE signals; complete applicable EHS training; participate in accident, injury & illness prevention activities; enhance their knowledge of risk mitigation and emergency response skills ; and timely report near-miss cases, unsafe conditions and acts.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements· Ph.D. in Physics, Biomedical engineering or other related fields· Experience in physics and/or algorithm research and development for X-ray or some similar field where knowledge and experience would translate directly to X-ray · Demonstrated expertise in at least one area related to X-ray imaging system: Transportation and detection physics, image processing or clinical applications· The candidate must have passion for performing research in X-ray, and have strong desire to seek a R& D career in medical imaging systems · Strong interpersonal skills. Self-starter & self-motivator, independent thinker, proactive problem solver· Able to learn quickly and to generate innovative ideas· Strong analytical skills· Ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a global team
