Major Responsibility
Lead all central tender process for Carriers to secure desired volume and product allocation for Corning
Develops and executes business plans that provide carriers (China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom) with a fully integrated set of product, process, service, and technical solutions which draw on Corning’s total value to meet specific business needs.
Develops and executes a multi-year strategy to identify customer’s short-term and long-term need and enhance Corning’s reputation in carrier market
Involves Corning’s executive leadership in customer visits, as appropriate, to further build Corning’s credibility and penetrate carrier market.
Maintains in frequent contact with carriers’ headquarter leadership in Beijing to identify, build and strengthen the relationship. Continually assess Corning’s effectiveness in meeting the customer’s needs, and ultimately maximize business penetration and customer retention.
Serves as an advocate for both Corning and carrier by creating value for both parties and balancing the needs and constraints of both parties.
Stays informed of customer requirements and key buying factors, and uses this knowledge to pursue profitable selling opportunities for current or next generation products and to modify account plans, as needed.
Collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, Product Line Management, Supply chain and other functions to negotiate favorable agreements with customers.
Collects market, customer, and competitor intelligence and insights and shares this knowledge with others, as appropriate, to inform sales, marketing, and technical strategies as well as the demand forecast and sales planning processes.
Secures and manages financial and human resources as required to effectively meet department and corporate objectives.
Manages staff and delegates responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department.
Other tasks and/or end users that may be assigned

Education & Experience
Bachelor degree in relevant disciplines
In-depth experience in engaging Telecom carrier headquarters stakeholders (Design institutes, Research Center, Procurement and engineering teams, etc.)
Knowledge of commercial process and cross-selling
MBA is a plus

Required Skills & Competencies
Must have >10 years’ working commercial experience within Telecommunications industry
Strategic thinking with strong sales and account management experience. Able to engage customers in commercial discussion, convince customers to recognize the unique total value of Corning's solutions and secure commitment
Strong inter-personal skills; strong commercial sense and negotiation capability; Analytical
Be able to work in a matrix and multi-culture business environment
Able to lead multiple teams with diverse product portfolio to deliver on objectives
Fluent Chinese Mandarin and English with strong written and verbal communication skills
