As a sales engineer, this job will not only handle all the technical and quality aspects of work for Chrysan China, but also help achieve sales growth by identifying customer application needs and providing optimal solutions to customers. The details include but not limited to below:
1. Under the guidance of US Technical director
A. Learn and master the knowledge of various products that Chrysan manufactures, packages and distributes
B. Handle/coordinate all regional technical/quality related work, internal or external
C. Promptly respond to any customer technical and quality concerns; resolve issues in a timely manner
D. Manage supplier quality, including domestic and international suppliers
E. Create measurables and standardize procedures to prevent and eliminate quality issues
F. Promote, educate and utilize Chrysan quality standard across the company
G. Identify qualified partners for R&D and test needs. Work on establishing Chrysan China lab, if needed
2. Promote Chrysan products and services, identify new opportunities and develop new sales
A. Promote Chrysan products and services to customers; maintain and develop relationships
B. Promote Chrysan brand image
C. Gather market intelligence of lubricant industries in China and make new business recommendations
D. Listen to customers’ needs. Propose new products/improvement to better serve customers
E. Participate in trade show/meetings, identify sales opportunities and regularly track sales progress
F. Support other needs per management requirements, such as physical inventory management
Qualification:
1. College degree, or equivalent work experience in engineering or manufacturing related to automotive and/or lubricant industries; bulk lubricant manufacturing experience is a bonus
2. Knowledgeable in finished lubricant ASTM methods, various TS and ISO standards; knowledge in APQP is a plus
3. Must be fluent in both Chinese and English; Korean and other Asian language is a plus
4. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
5. Flexible with travel needs and evening conference calls
6. Self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills
7. Self-disciplined, ability to work independently without supervision
8. Demonstrate attention to details, initiative and creativity
9. Strong problem solving and data analysis skills. Ability to make recommendations independently
10. Demonstrate professional image, business etiquette, and have high level of integrity
11. Good sales presentation skills, desire to learn and succeed, positive attitude. Sales experience is a bonus
12. Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere, and work under pressure
