Assignment
The Supply Business Area (BA) Specialist works on a regional level (this position for Asia Pacific) securing the product availability to the final customer at the lowest possible Supply Chain cost, by driving and adding value to the replenishment process from supplier to distribution centers and stores.
Tasks include:
· Working in cooperation with supply chain partners around the world to secure availability at the lowest supply chain cost.
· Working proactively to ensure availability in Stores and Distribution Centers (DC) by monitoring future stock out scenarios and acting on deviations of the delivery plans.
· Proactively work with overstock in our DCs to ensure a healthy stock structure.
· Monitor and follow up on orderlines.
· Securing global and country product activities.
· Secure that replenishment solution changes are executed in an optimal way.
· Initiate sales steering activities concerning regional overstock/shortages in partnership with Retail.
· Ensure that news arrives in stores before sales start date and that phasing out of discontinued articles are executed as planned.
· Support replenishment of new stores, relocations and remodels.
· Assume responsibility for other assignments, tasks and projects on regional or global level, as assigned.

With the movement of the head office from Singapore to Shanghai in July of 2007, Distribution Services Asia Pacific (DSAP) have undergone a rapid expansion, growing from 70 co-workers to over 500 staffs nowadays. Today DSAP supports 28 stores in Asia Pacific with 4 Distribution Centers.
Business achievement
FY08 we have seen great results and achievements in many areas in DSAP. Our handling costs per m3 improved again and ended well below target, in transport we managed to slow down some cost increase despite the very unfavorable fuel/oil cost development and direct deliveries/total lead time has had some long awaited break troughs.
We as organization also continue to grow and recently we opened a new high flow DC Yatomi in Japan. Soon our new high flow DC moorebank in Australia will be open. Shortly it’s followed by the opening of the low flow DC Fengxian in China and the full implementation of new goods flow strategy. Also in the areas of IWAY, quality and customer availability we have better results than last year.
