The successful candidate will:
The Functional Analyst (FA)/Product Owner for WKFS has primary responsibility for translating business requirements into functional specifications to be used by software developers, analysing the issues reported by internal colleagues and external users, prioritizing daily work items, and coordinating the works of the teams for functional analysis, developers, Quality assurance, and external users via the client service team or implementation team. The FA’s activities include
? Exhibits project management skills. Coordinates and performs all phases of project activities including requirements gathering, project definition, solution outline, testing, documentation, implementation, training, follow-up and on-going maintenance.
? Conduct detailed analysis of reports and comprehend the regulatory guidelines pertaining to such reporting, and document the regulatory guidelines into functional specifications.
? Proactively leads and directs activities to identify information problems and defines solutions for management approval.
? Communicates with departmental management, business users and peers to define and prioritize the product backlog.
? Familiar with the complexity of product when designing and changing systems which affect critical components.
? Operates primarily in close partnership with various departments to develop a deep understanding of business requirement and to meet their objectives in developing cost, quality and service improvements.
? Perform administrative and other duties as assigned. Creating detailed documentation pertaining to their job areas.
Qualifications and Skillset
Education:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Banking/Computer Science/Database
Essential:
? 1-3 years’ relevant work experience in a Bank/ FI/IT firm, with IT educational background
? Candidate must display strong analytical skills and be responsible, methodical and organized.
? Experience with Agile methodology, especially product backlog management as product owner
? Experience with business analysis and project coordination.
? Experience in documentation such as functional specification, user manual, business test case, release notes etc.
? Should be of autonomous bent and a self-learner, assertive and able to make expert decisions based on personal judgment.
? Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
? Working in a dynamic, fast paced environment under time-sensitive deadlines.
Desirable:
? Knowledge and experience in handling the database and software programming, such as MS office VBA, SQL or Oracle
? Knowledge of Banking, advanced accounting and financial instruments is a plus
? Experience in regulatory reporting domain, risk management, treasury or any other role which requires high level of analytical aptitude with either Bank/ Regulator is a plus
