Position: M&E Quantity Surveyor

Summary

This is a senior role for an experienced and qualified Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for budgets and cost control services on mechanical and electrical installations and manage associated tender and contract activities.

Responsibilities:

· Provide overall budgets and cost control supporting service for the projects.

· To monitor the progress of work in terms of cost control, contract administration, change control and procurement in order to meet the project requirements to achieve value for money and smooth completion of the project.

· Review terms of the contracts, Bills of Quantities and the other parts of the tender documents.

· Monitor schedule of issuance of M&E subcontracts/supplies.

· Analysis M&E tender package submissions and provide guidance on the resolution of queries and clarifications.

· Oversee M&E tender package award preparation ensuring content of the final contract documentation covers the needs and specifications required.

· Provide support on interpretation of contractual rights and obligations of the different parties in regard to the day to day administration of the contracts and the fair application of contract provisions at post tender stage.

· Provide support on claims/payment and dispute matters of main and nominated contracts in terms of M&E associated issues.

· Assist on reporting to management level on monthly status report on project schedule, engineering progress, cost and quality relating to M&E matters.

· Undertake procurement works on client supply equipments and systems.

· Complete other tasks/jobs as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

· University degree in Electrical or Mechanical or Building Services, Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 6 years relevant experience in M&E quantity surveying practice.

· Prior experience in quantity surveying within a reputable consulting firm is preferred.

· Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.

· The candidate should have good user skills of MS Office Suites.
