The IPE Service Engineering team is looking for an exceptional service engineer to design, build, and run Microsoft service management solutions for complex services. Key initiatives include managing big data, monitoring, platform management, problem management, and operations at massive scale.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to analyze complex problems quickly and propose solutions to restore or maximize service availability. Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required. This position requires strong communication skills, great organizational agility, and technical writing skills. Candidates must function well in a team environment. Candidates need to be organized, with a proven ability to make the correct decisions under pressure.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience supporting Windows Server, particularly Windows Server 2008, and Internet Information Server (IIS5-7), in a large scale operations/production environment
5+ years of experience with enterprise storage & data management (distributed SQLServer 2008 solutions, Cosmos, Hadoop, MongoDB)
Extensive knowledge of client-server architectures and Internet security principles
Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Active Directory and System Center suite, including Operations Manager and Configuration Manager
Strong knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, Batch, LUA, etc.)
Ability to analyze, design and build Internet-scale IT systems
Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC)
BA/BS degree in CS, related discipline or equivalent work experience, MCSE preferred
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in management of large scale online services.
- Previous hands-on software development experience (C#, C, C++, ASP .NET).
- Knowledge of ITIL, MOF, PMP, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with large-scale deployment technologies (AutoPilot, Altiris, MSI, Octopus) and cloud services (Windows Azure, Amazon EC2)
- Non-Windows service platform experience (Linux, Solaris)
- Experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale transactional monitoring services, process and task automation, testing processes, build process, configuration management, release management, and server deployments
